Question Details

(Solved by Expert Tutors) Sam, a 35 year old (unemployed) former auto worker, decides to rob>

an armored truck in front of the local branch of the County National Bank. Sam shares his plans with Chuck, an unemployed, 25 year (former) welder. Chuck agrees to "cut open" the armored truck (at a local "chop shop") if Sam can successfully steal the truck and drive away. In preparation for his "heist," Sam convinces John, age 50 and born with Downs Syndrome, to "hang out" in front of the bank and call Sam's cell number each time an Armored Truck makes a pick up or delivery. For his efforts, John is paid in candy and ice cream.
On the day of the heist, Sam underestimates the number of guards on the armored truck. As he tries to steal the "unoccupied" truck, an unseen guard "appears from nowhere," subdues Sam, and prevents the armored truck from being stolen. The full details of the plan are promptly made known to police who quickly move to affect the arrest of all participants.
